Meet Jessie Laurenzi, MS, LPC (she/hers)
Jessie Laurenzi provides therapy for adults, adolescents and couples.
She has specialized training in trauma, including EMDR. She approaches her client work with a humanistic lens, which means she seeks to understand the individual needs and potential of each client. She can help you be your true self and work towards increased authenticity in your relationships.
Jessie enjoys working with couples and uses Gottman, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Prepare/Enrich methods in her work with partners.
Jessie holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her emphasis included a focus on clinical mental health counseling, working with couples, families, and trauma informed care. She also has a Bachelor’s in Science degree in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jessie is dedicated to creating a therapeutic alliance built on trust, respect, and empathy. She respects each client’s unique experiences and backgrounds and is committed to providing culturally sensitive therapy. Her goal is to empower her clients to find their own strengths and resources for lasting positive change.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Jessie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and enjoys using this form of evidenced based therapy to process traumatic events and distressing life experiences.
EMDR helps connect and make meaning of memories, feelings, and sensations in both the body and brain.
EMDR can help to reduce the severity of a fight or flight response to triggers relevant to specific traumas.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and our dog. I enjoy hiking, traveling, art, music, and reading.
