Meet Alisson Burda, LCSW (she/hers)

Alisson Burda (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting children and families.

With nearly two decades of experience in clinical social work, Alisson has been an advocate for mental health support for children, from infancy to 18 years old, and their caregivers. Her work experience includes traditional office therapy, community initiatives, school-based interventions, and in-home family therapy. She also enjoys working with college students, parents, and individual adults, guiding them through their unique journeys.

Alisson approaches therapy with a strengths-based perspective, empowering her clients to rely on their inner resources. She places great emphasis on the parent-child relationship, viewing it as a cornerstone in achieving therapeutic goals. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare and Women’s Studies and a Master’s of Science degree in Social Work from UW-Madison. She has advanced clinical training in methodologies such as Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Family Therapy.

Outside of her time as a clinical therapist, Alisson finds joy in artistic pursuits, spending time with loved ones, and playing with her dog, Phyllis.
