Meet Our Intake Coordinator, Stacy Johnson
Hi, I’m Stacy! As the Intake Coordinator here at Kind Therapy, I’m often the first person you’ll connect with when reaching out to us. With over 20 years of experience in client care and customer service, I am dedicated to helping people feel comfortable, supported, and heard as they take their first steps into therapy. I’m also a graduate student in counseling, which inspires me every day to keep learning new ways to help others.
Mental health is something I care deeply about, and I believe that prioritizing your well-being is one of the most empowering and transformative choices you can make for yourself.
My role is to be a match maker. I listen closely to your needs and help pair you with a Kind Therapy therapist who is the right fit for you. If we aren’t the best fit for your concerns, I’m also happy to help point you towards other local practices who may offer what you are needing. I look forward to talking with you and helping you get started with therapy.

We offer the following services in Madison or via teletherapy throughout Wisconsin.
We strive to provide compassionate, genuine care to help you navigate the curve balls that life throws your way. We listen to your story and offer guidance as you work through your emotions and find approaches that feel authentic to you.
Couple’s therapy is offered for partners seeking tools for understanding and expressing their emotional needs in their relationship, improving communication strategies, and support with weathering through a tough period. We work with you to help you understand patterns so you can build a stronger partnership. Premarital counseling and support for partners expecting a child is also offered. We are LGBTQIA affirming.
We practice from a trauma informed lens. We are here to help you understand how painful past experiences may be contributing to your current concerns, so you can move forward and heal. Our trauma-specific approaches include Brainspotting, EMDR, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
We offer support from pregnancy through the early parenting years. The perinatal period can be an exciting time characterized by rapid changes, and it can also be a time filled with sadness, worry, irritability, loss, adjustment, and stress. We offer counseling for people who are expecting a child and/or navigating the transition to parenthood after the birth or adoption of a child.
Maybe you’re adjusting to your new identity as a parent. Maybe your relationship is struggling as you make this transition. We offer the Bringing Baby Home Workshop and individualized couple’s sessions to help keep your relationship strong while you make the leap into parenthood.
Whether your child seems to be struggling to cope with uncomfortable emotions, or your family is simply needing support, we can provide a safe place to learn how to grow and adapt. Child/Family sessions are interactive and personalized to meet the unique needs of your family.
