Meet Sara Kind, MS, LPC, LMFT, PMH-C (she/hers)
Sara is the Founder of Kind Therapy, LLC.
Sara has over 12 years of marriage & family therapy and counseling work experience. She has worked in non-profit crisis settings, provided intensive in-home child and family therapy, coordinated/supervised trauma treatment groups in Dane County schools, and provided therapy in both outpatient clinic and private practice environments. She has a strong working knowledge of resources and mental health systems in Dane County.
Kind Therapy was opened by Sara in January of 2015 as a practice designed to offer tailored therapy services to individuals, couples, and families in a small, inviting, and personalized environment. Sara continually strives to provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all, and has genuine passion for helping others.
Sara is dedicated to guiding individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges with warmth and expertise. She offers a safe space for exploration and growth, where clients can feel heard, valued, and supported on their journey toward healing. Using evidence-based techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs, Sara helps clients navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, perinatal mental health concerns, and more.
Sara enjoys working with people across the lifespan and believes strongly in the importance of approaching client care from a systems based lens to uncover the underlying dynamics that contribute to present day concerns. She has extensive training and experience working couples, supporting parents in the perinatal period, and working with children. She is trained in EMDR and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist.

On a more personal note…
I enjoy spending my non-working hours with my family. I am happily married to my husband and I’m a proud mama to two children.
I feel most grounded when I am in nature, and I make it a priority to spend time outside everyday, regardless of the weather. I can often be found exploring local hiking trails, camping in Wisconsin State Parks, snowshoeing in the winter, gardening, cooking, and visiting local restaurants.
I love travel and visiting different states and countries whenever I have the opportunity.
